Ghent

It is a short one today (sighs of relief).

Ghent, despite its abrupt name, is yet another charming ornament on the Belgium map. Filled with fries, mayonnaise, chocolate and canals it is a nice spot for a day trip from Brussels or Antwerp.

It took me only an hour on the train (note to self… ticket officers are everywhere, yes I tried to get a free fare). Ghent is a cool spot to head for lunch or coffee and to relax and walk around.

I spent most of the day hanging out with myself and delicious chocolates.
